Report: Battlefield 6 has already bought over 6.5m copies

EA shooter Battlefield 6 has already bought over 6.5 million copies.

That is in response to knowledge from Alinea Analytics, which claims that the title has reached this milestone throughout its first few days on sale. That might be over $350 million in gross income, too, which makes it one of the crucial profitable video games of this technology.

56.7 per cent of Battlefield 6 gross sales – or round 3.5 million copies – have been on Steam. That interprets to greater than $220 million in income. PlayStation 5 was behind 23.7 per cent of gross sales, whereas Microsoft’s Xbox Sequence consoles took the remaining 19.6 per cent.

“Steam was at all times going to be the primary driver of Battlefield’s success,” Alinea’s Rhys Elliott wrote.

“As we lined final week, Steam pre-orders alone handed 1.8M models, with over 3.5M wishlists forward of launch. However the engagement curve post-release is simply as spectacular:

“Steam day by day energetic customers (DAUs) have remained between 2.3 million and a pair of.5 million each single day since launch. In the meantime, PlayStation DAUs have hovered round one million constantly. Whereas many new gamers are coming in every day, BF6 has a very flat DAU curve for a shooter (even a premium one). There was additionally barely any consumer drop-off on Monday, one other rarity.”
