The Amazon Tomb Raider live-action TV present is about to begin filming in 2026.
That is in keeping with Selection, which studies that the sequence goes to star Sophie Turner of Sport of Thrones fame because the titular tomb raider. The Amazon present was greenlit in Could 2024, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge working as creator, author and government producer for the venture.
“I’m so excited to announce the formidable Sophie Turner as our Lara alongside this phenomenal inventive staff,” Waller-Bridge mentioned.
“It’s not fairly often you get to make a present of this scale with a personality you grew up loving. Everybody on board is wildly keen about Lara and are all as outrageous, courageous, and hilarious as she is. Get your artifacts out… Croft is coming…”
Turner added: “I’m thrilled past measure, to be taking part in Lara Croft. She’s such an iconic character, who means a lot to so many – and I’m giving every thing I’ve obtained. They’re huge footwear to fill, following within the steps of Angelina and Alicia with their powerhouse performances, however with Phoebe on the helm, we (and Lara) are all in very protected arms. I can’t look ahead to you all to see what we now have cooking.”
