Grand Theft Auto followers are recognized for a love of hypothesis and data sleuthing at this level, and this actually hasn’t modified since Rockstar launched the prolonged gameplay preview for Grand Theft Auto 6. The group’s present fixation? Whether or not or not Key West shall be within the sport.
For months, probably the most keen among the many Grand Theft Auto group have been piecing collectively no matter clues they will as to what the GTA 6 map seems to be like. Trailers and leaks together have allowed followers to draft a tough thought of what we’ll be capable to discover come November. Nonetheless, Key West (or Rockstar’s personal comedic twist on it) has thus far remained unseen.
For these unaware, Key West is the USA’s southernmost metropolis, situated proper on the western tip of a series of islands often known as the Florida Keys. It is a well-known spot and a well-liked vacationer vacation spot, main many to take a position as to the way it’ll seem in Rockstar’s take of the Florida coast.
Questions on Key West’s inclusion in GTA 6 have circulated for some time, however the dialog has reignited with the looks of a map leak which seems to point out an early beta model of GTA 6’s map. This leak is separate from the CyberLeek posts earlier this summer season, which notably did not characteristic Key West in any respect. As such, the working concept is that Key West may need been deliberate however eliminated later in growth.
“I do not see why they’d work so arduous doing all of the keys and omit an important one Key West,” wrote Reddit consumer TheHulk305. “It doesn’t seem to be a Rockstar factor to do, particularly since we even bought the Jersey facet of New York in GTA 4.” Others speculated that Key West may need been merged with different components of the Florida Keys. All of that is in fact hypothesis, based mostly upon a map leak which itself may very well be false.
It’sworth noting, too, that Grand Theft Auto video games – whereas intensely researched and based mostly on real-world places – will not be meant to be one-to-one recreations. Additionally, simply because a leak would not present a location doesn’t suggest it is lacking: it may very well be alluded to in a close-by location or seem considerably smaller than its actual world counterpart.
Both manner, Grand Theft Auto 6’s launch is quick approaching, and the ferocious urge for food of Grand Theft Auto followers grows ever bigger. Key West just isn’t the one notable absence, both, as GTA 6 On-line has but to be introduced regardless of a lot pleasure round it.
In the meantime, Rockstar is at present in an employment tribunal following the abrupt firing of 31 employees final 12 months, which the previous staff argue was an act of union busting. That is nonetheless being debated in Scottish employment tribunals, with a verdict set to be launched later in October.
